2011 Recap: Let's start with a big round of applause to those who helped make this such a succesful season. A great big hug and kisses goes out to Debi Mundinger. Side pots, ,money and a pretty smile, she made Thursday nights that much better. Next is Fred Jones of Parkway Marine. Those of you that have been to Parkway Marine, know how well organized and how hard Fred works. He brought that with him each week. Supplied generator, lights and experience at the weigh in table, and was a Championship Sponsor with great prizes. Always willing to talk shop, we look forward to Fred coming back for another great year in 2012. Another great sponsor was Seminole Outdoors. Along with Trey's help and lighting equipment, they made it easy to stop in and pre pay to gaurantee that early take off position. A couple guys behind the scenes like Ronnie McKamey from RSC. Ronnie is not only an excellent fisherman, but was there when we needed him. Generator, lights or help with the weigh ins. Also on hand to help out was Tony Canington. It's little things like that Tony we appreciate so much. There's more of you I know, and I could go on for another couple pages but let's move on to the other sponsors. Fishtallahassee.com. Website, results, photos, permits and much more. Hours of preparation go into each of these events. We'll continue to work and make it better. Next is Humdinger Baits. We appreciate those of you that displayed the Fishtallahassee logo on your tow vehicles. For that Humdinger Baits would reward the winner each week. There were a couple teams that missed out on the $50.00 bait packages. More rewards to come in 2012. Then there's Parkway marine. Not only gave great prizes, but invaluable help throughout the year. Seminole Outdoors, Deep South Fishing Rods, Thee Fishermans Soap and The Rod Glove all came through for us. Thank you again for your support. Now on to the fishing and the best prize of all. Did you ever think you'd be fishing on television? New South Outdoor's coverage of the top 5 teams is unprecedented in our area. Bob Davis/Jeff Gordon, Rob Lawhon/Paul McClendon, Reggie Calhoun/Bobby Yakin, Clint Brown/Terry Stevens and David hinton/Randy Truesdell made this years show. Lots of good fish catching moments. With the recent signing of a new ABC 27 contract, show times will be published on here as soon as we get them. These five teams worked very hard all year to get to those spots. Reigning team of the year Rob and Paul repeated, with David and Randy right on their heels. With the ToY designation comes paid entries, boat #1A, and the famed "Blue Chip" for 2012 All teams in the top five had at least 1 win, with Bob and Jeff winning the Championship also. Big bass after big bass came across the stage each week. Two records were set in 2011. Big bass and big bag both go to David and Randy. Oh ya, both came on the same night and the big bag only had 4 fish! What does that tell you about Lake Jackson. There will be some changes coming in 2012. First is starting in April. Another is the field will be limited to 50 boats. We're going to try and gaurantee a no entry, $1,000.00 first place championship prize. That sponsor is yet to be known, but I promise they'll have all the publicity and backing from us we can possibly give. If you know someone that might be interested, let's bring them on board.
